Writing about it isn't a means to bring myself attention ... my wife wants to celebrate it today at some other get-together, and I just think that cheapens it.
Even my 8-year-old daughter says, "Let's do Daddy'd birthday here at home on Friday. Just us."
Leah is always on her Daddy's side.
